Prevention is better than cure, which is where the principles of prehab, or prehabilitation, come in. Prehab can be useful for a number of reasons, ranging from helping to support the body and prevent injury, right through to supporting your body before you undergo surgery. These graded  exercises can help make your recovery easier, as well as support joints and tendons that you’ve already experienced issues with during your workouts. 

At Comprehensive Health and Fitness, we have extensive experience with helping you get through fitness challenges posed by pre-existing injuries and upcoming surgery. The reality is, the exercises you can safely perform before an operation will make recovery easier for you on the other side.

We’ll work closely with you to create a specifically targeted workout to help accommodate more severe injuries including things like ACL prehab, shoulder, wrist prehab and exercises to prevent hamstring injuries. Supporting your body through the healing process at the gym can be as simple as repositioning for pressure injury prevention.
